Bringing Student Stories to Life on Social Media

The Challenge
Graduate program marketing often focuses on curriculum, rankings, and admissions requirements, making it difficult for prospective students to envision what the student experience is actually like. The challenge was to create engaging social content that highlighted authentic student voices while supporting recruitment goals.
My Role
I transformed student interviews into social-first stories that showcased the people behind Harvard Chan's graduate programs. Working with photographers, designers, and admissions colleagues, I developed messaging and creative direction that translated long-form student profiles into engaging, platform-specific social content.
The Approach
Each social campaign began with a student interview that explored their academic interests, career goals, and personal experiences. Rather than simply promoting a degree program, I identified authentic moments that prospective students could relate to and worked with designers to translate those narratives into visually engaging social graphics that encouraged users to learn more.
The Impact
The campaigns extended the reach of student stories beyond the website, creating approachable, shareable content that helped prospective students connect with Harvard Chan through the experiences of current students. By adapting long-form editorial content for social media, I expanded the visibility of recruitment storytelling across multiple digital channels.
